I love these two photos together.  Emily captured the sandhill cranes flying over the lake and I snapped this shot as Blair and Kristian looked out to watch.  It was such a peaceful moment.  It was that moment I love as a photographer.  Unrehearsed, unplanned, but documented.  Just as special as any other moment that day.  Take that time to enjoy your big day.  For a few minutes, forget about your guests, the details, what’s next on the schedule.  Be with each other.  Be Present.  Appreciate what is natural and unscripted.

Here are shots from the first roll of film taken with the Mamiya 645 Pro camera and the 80mm f/1.9 lens.  Fuji Pro 400H film processed and scanned at Richard Photo Lab in Los Angeles.  I’m in love with the colors and softness!!!  I plan on mixing in film along with digital in my work.   It’s an exciting venture (back) into the world of film photography.  Thanks to my beautiful subjects!
